At Fair Fields, we grow asparagus, rhubarb, strawberries, raspberries, sweet corn and honey.
All of our crops are grown to meet Canadian Organic Standards, though we are no longer certified as the cost and administrative labour were too much for an operation of our size.
This means we don’t grow GMO crops or use chemical fertilizers or pesticides, especially important with strawberries and sweet corn, which can receive a lot of these harmful chemicals in conventional production.
Our Crops

Farmgate
We sell all of our products in season from the farm and are open:
Wednesday through Sunday 9:30 am – 7:30 pm
(Please call ahead for the berries as they are quite perishable and in high demand, and so are not always available)

U-Pick
For strawberries and raspberries, we are also open for u-pick!
The schedule is the same for Farmgate sales (Wednesday through Sunday, 9:30 am – 7:30 pm). If you are unable to come during open hours, please contact us, and we will see if we can accommodate you. It is first come, first served, and we recommend calling ahead at 519-665-7982 or checking our updates on Facebook (link here) if coming from a distance to make sure picking conditions are good. In general, we close for u-pick if experiencing a lot of rain and wet weather, as berry quality goes down and it is easy to spread disease.
Pricing
Please check in with us later in the season to find our prices for 2025

Wholesale
We do small-scale wholesale of everything except raspberries and honey.
You can find our products at Sideroad Farm Store, Glen Colton Farm Store, and through some restaurants, stores and small farms in southern Ontario.
If interested in purchasing wholesale, please contact us to find out about pricing, timing and availability.
Future Crops
They are not mature enough to produce much yet, but in coming years we will also have haskap berries, like a blueberry, but packed with even more vitamins and anti-oxidants, and better adapted to our soils.

AGRICULTURE & ECO
FARMING

Strawberries and sweet corn are two of the crops that are very important to grow organically. Strawberries are usually the crop most heavily contaminated by pesticides in conventional production. Some sweet corn varieties are genetically modified (GMOs), which we have serious concerns about and are not allowed in organic seed production. Given how much kiddos love to eat both of these crops and the problems with how they are conventionally grown, it is very important for them to be grown organically.

HARVEST INNOVATIONS
Best in sustainable ecological agricultural production.
AGRICULTURE FARMING
Tried and tested many varieties of seeds for best growth, appearance and taste.
Canadian Organic Standards
Agricultural chemicals and large monocrops (very large fields of one crop) are responsible for a lot of pollution and habitat destruction. At Fairfields, Organic production has always been important to us.
