With our move to u-pick and wholesale, we feel it is important to certify, so customers who are unable to come to the farm and see how we do things, can still rest assured that we are achieving a minimum standard of healthy sustainable production.
We are in our precertification year with Ecocert, hoping to be fully certified by June 2021.
“The right thing to do for our bodies and the planet!”
Organic production has always been important to us. Farming around the globe is one of the biggest contributors to climate change. Agricultural chemicals and large monocrops (very large fields of one crop) are responsible for a lot of pollution and habitat destruction. Many agricultural chemicals are also known carcinogens, which contribute to cancer in humans and other species, especially in the farmers who work with and are surrounded by these chemicals and the consumers who eat the foods grown with them.
