We planted our first asparagus in the spring of 2020 and will be planting more this season. Asparagus takes a few years to start producing well, so we do not anticipate starting to wholesale it till 2022. The type of asparagus we have planted is Millennium, a variety developed at the University of Guelph. It is known for its cold tolerance, productivity, stem length and colour. We can’t wait to sample it next year!
