We have one variety, Guelph Millennium, developed in Ontario by local farmers and the University of Guelph.  Millennium is a winter-hardy, high-yielding and top-quality variety, suitable for both organic and conventional production.

 Our asparagus patch is still young, so it has not reached full production yet.  We expect to have about 3 weeks of harvest this year, starting in the second week of May.  Next year it will be more like 5-6 weeks, and after that, we should have a 6-8 week season every year.
